Color Change Wrap FAQ
What is a car wrap and how does it work?
A car wrap is a premium vinyl film that covers your factory paint to give your vehicle a completely new look. The film is applied to each panel and follows every curve for a smooth finish. A wrap lets you change the color of your car without repainting and it protects the paint underneath as long as the paint is in good condition.
Can you ceramic coat a wrapped car?
Yes you can. Ceramic coating works extremely well on vinyl wraps and helps protect the film while improving its appearance.
How much does a car wrap cost?
The cost of a car wrap varies based on the size of the vehicle, the color and finish you choose, and how much preparation and disassembly is needed. Gloss, satin, matte, metallic, color flip, and textured films all have different price points. Larger vehicles and more complex installs increase the overall cost.

What is the difference between PPF and vinyl wrap?
Paint protection film is made for impact protection and helps prevent rock chips, scratches, and surface damage. Vinyl wrap is made for style and color changes. PPF is focused on protection while vinyl wrap is focused on appearance.
What upgrades should I pair with a full color change wrap?
Ceramic coating for easier maintenance, powder coated wheels for a cleaner and more custom look, paint protection film on high impact areas for extra durability, and window tint for window heat rejection. These upgrades help your wrap last longer and make the entire vehicle look more complete.
Will wrap damage my paint?
When installed and removed correctly, a vinyl wrap will not damage factory paint. In many cases, it actually helps protect the paint underneath from sun exposure, minor scratches, and everyday wear. The key factors are proper installation, quality materials, and the condition of the paint before wrapping. Factory paint in good condition is typically the safest to wrap, while repainted or damaged areas may carry additional risk. We always inspect the vehicle beforehand and talk through any concerns so there are no surprises.
Can you tint windows after wrapping?
Yes. Window tint can be installed after a wrap with no issues. Wrapping affects the exterior paint and trim, while window tint is applied to the inside of the glass, so the two services do not interfere with each other. Many customers choose to wrap first and then tint, or bundle both services together to save time and ensure everything is completed cleanly in one visit.
Can vinyl wraps go through car washes?
We do not recommend running a wrapped vehicle through automatic car washes. The brushes, high pressure water, and harsh chemicals can lift edges, damage the vinyl, and shorten the life of the wrap. For best results, hand washing with a gentle soap is recommended. Touchless washes can be used occasionally, but proper hand washing will keep your wrap looking better and lasting longer.
Can you remove a vinyl wrap safely?
Yes. When a vinyl wrap is removed properly, it can be taken off safely without damaging factory paint. Using the correct heat, technique, and timing is key. In many cases, the paint underneath looks the same or better than before since it has been protected from sun exposure and minor wear. Vehicles with factory paint in good condition are the safest candidates, and we always assess the condition of the paint before removal.
